Unfortunately due to technical problems, I have been unable to post my daily blog the last 2 days. However, I am doing well and continuing to push myself in my 90 day challenge. Diet is going really well and I will be taking a new approach that I will disclose after a 3 day trial. Wish me luck. God Bless. Bo. P.S. Expect the pic posting to resume shortly. :D

Day 9
Day 9
Today was the second round of P90x Plyometrics and it was...........AMAZING! Amazingly challenging that is. I was literally drenched in sweat by the end of the workout. But again, I noticed that I had even more endurance than I had when I previously did the workout. It is those kind of results that make you want to push for even better results. I believe that by the time I am finished with the 90 days, that I will look back and see how much I have improved and be proud of myself. On a sadder note, the US was knocked out today, but hey 4 years we get another shot. It was hard to keep clean eating today, I did snack a little but not to the point where I would feel like I went off the wagon. Still determined to push myself even harder now. Check out the pics. The ones from Day 8 were taken this morning Day 9 this evening, since a camera was not available last evening. Leave a comment if you like, and God bless. :D

Day 8
Day 8 weight: 230.8
Day 8 was the beginning of the 2nd week of P90x. So it was a chest and back workout again. The cool thing is., I could do almost double what I did my first day. Whether it be the muscle I gained or the weight I lost, maybe just my mindset changing, I did 2ce as well. The afternoon was spent with my girl ffriend, and then driving all over Florida with some friends. Diet is going a lot better today, and I hope it stays that way. Sorry there are no pictures today, I have some, just didn't upload, I think I will put them on computer tomorrow morning, and then when I post tomorrow evening I will update the blog. Have a good night, God Bless.

Day 7
Day 7 weight: 229.8
Today was a nice day for me to relax. Didn't have P90x or BJJ so it was a very mellow day. I made sure I didn't loaf around though. I was able to enjoy a nice dinner with Stephanie, AND I was able to go fishing. So all and all pretty much one of the most relaxing days ever. I'm going to need it too, seeing as how tomorrow we jump right back into the scheduled workouts. Pray for me to do well. Check out the pics! Overall week 1 weight loss: 7.2 lbs!

Day 6
Day 6 weight: 230 lb
Exhausted but happy. Two words I don't usually use in the same sentence. Today's P90x workout was probably the most fun yet Kenpo X! Kenpo is a martial arts, which is something I'm used to doing, especially with the jiu-jitsu. Your moving and grooving the whole time and the workout is over before you know it. It is a good cardio workout. I also went to BJJ (brazilian jiu-jitsu) tonight, and had a blast. I was lucky enough to go against one of the best people at the school who had me rolling around like a monkey fighting a tiger. Needless to say I didn't win. But one of the fun things about BJJ is that it isn't necessarily about just making people tap out. A lot of the fun is just transitioning your body to a more advantageous position. Moving your body to a new position is called a "sweep" and it is what I tried to focus on today. I got 1 or 2 nice ones, which I'm proud of. Diet went well, no junk food. I gained .6 lb, which true your weight can fluctuate, but also I ate more yesterday than I normally would. So you live and learn, and I learned to stay true to my diet! So check out the pics, leave a comment, and God Bless. :D

Day 5
Day 5 weight: 229.4
Today I got to work on my legs and my back. I think legs are probably my strong point in the workout. One thing I really enjoy about P90x is the motto "do your best, and forget the rest!". It really sums up how the workout shows results. You do the best you can do, you don't let the numbers get in your head, and if you genuinely push yourself you will succeed. Another merit is the modification they show you how to do. For instance I currently struggle with pull-ups. Pull-ups have got to be one of the hardest things to do on the planet. Right up there with child birth, and watching professional curling. Even some people who are in great shape can not do a lot of pull-ups. However, the program which uses pull-ups shows you how to modify in order to build the muscle so that you CAN do them. The whole mindset of getting the word "can't" out of your dictionary and replacing it with "I currently struggle with" motivates you, as you sweat through the workout with the other participants. Went to mother's today, so i wasn't able to make my 1:30 jiujitsu, however, I'm sure class tomorrow will still kick my tail. I'm liking taking these pics of myself everyday, I think after day 90 I'm going to put them all in a video on the blog so you can see the transformation in about 2 minutes. However, the progress and pics are still to come, so check em out each day! God Bless. :D

Day 4
Day 4 weight: 231.2 lb
YOGA X! That was the workout today, and it was as the title says "intense". I've discovered that Yoga is the part of this exercise regiment that I will struggle with the most. But in a way I'm glad that I'll be able to improve myself in the ways of the yoga. "Gain stretching and balance you will." -Yoda on Yoga. Diet has been going well. If you diet long enough you discover that the times you were "hungry" before, weren't really times you were TRULY hungry. Not that I have been dieting long, but it is something I've noticed. Didn't go to BJJ tonight, but I'm planning on showing up for the afternoon class tomorrow! I think Yoga will be the one exercise that I don't really look foward to doing, however, you get to do the typical "OOOHHHMMMMSSSS" at the end, so it kinda cracked me up. Check out the pics and leave a comment. Peace, and God Bless :D.

Day 3
Day 3 weight :232
Day 3 was working out the glamour muscles. Shoulders, arms and triceps. Okay okay, so my muscles aren't very glamourous, but maybe they will at least be more defined......eventually. Its weird how someone can call a certain muscle glamourous but another one not. Or how anyone can think muscles are that glamourous at all. But then again you never see a guy like me being the main heart throb in movies, we are usually the guy getting blown up in a car chase. Or the goofy guy that makes a lot of jokes. So I guess I fit the bill. Diet went....well lets say it went. Had some delicious food at the Boyce's today, Brother-in-laws parents. Ate great food, but chose healthier options such as no butter or sour cream. They also had homemade ice cream that I caved and ate a little. DELICIOUSO! Worth me not eating anything for the rest of the day. jiu-jitsu tomorrow, and looking forward to it! Bring it on 5 year olds! Other than that pretty relaxing day. Tomorrows workout is Yoga, so you will definitely want to see how I do in that. I'm guessing it wont be as much fun as I think :p. Until then check out the photos and God Bless :D.

Day 2
Day 2 weight: 232.8 lb
I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't too sore this morning. Seeing as how I was so sure I would be. Today's P90x routine was Plyometrics, which is jump training. You basically do all these different jumping exercises, like jumping squats and jumping jacks. It is a pretty fun cardio workout. One of the merits of P90x is that the trainer Tony and the cast you do the workout with, are all real people. You see them sweating and struggling just like you, and the occasional corny joke makes you smile when you want to scowl from the workout. No jiu-jitsu today, turns out it is only on weekdays, but monday I'll be back on the floor getting tapped out by 12 year olds. Looking forward to it! Today was pretty laid back as far as the diet goes. Wasn't too difficult as long as you don't think about being hungry. Drinking plenty of water surprisingly DOES help (I was skeptical). Still don't know HOW well it works, but maybe it is a placebo of sorts for not eating. Used "Eww" today as well, when I carpooled my friends to Shanghai Express (chinese food place). Thanks again guys for always finding a way to make it easier ;). Looking forward to what is to come 2moro, I'm sure I'll have more to say when I actually start rolling with these exercises. Hope you hang around to watch me succeed, or get my neck broken by a pre-teen :D. More to come tomorrow! :D Peace, God Bless. P.S. Check out the sexy guy in these photos (growling noise)

Day 1
Starting weight: 237 lb
Well they say the first day is always the hardest. Or is it the second day? Or first week? I'm not sure, however I do know that tomorrow morning I'll be sore. P90x was intense, a whole hour dedicated to push-ups and pull-ups. Not my strong points I've found out. Then a nice relaxing ab crunching routine. Nothing with the word "crunching" is ever as fun as you think. That combined with a night of Brazilian jiu-jitsu means that tomorrow morning I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of moaning. It is kind of daunting knowing you have 90 days of pushing yourself to achieve a goal, but each day is a step closer. Maybe the first step is the hardest to take, but I'm sure it wont be the hardest to complete. Diet went well, as most diets do on the first day. ALTHOUGH I will say between my friend eating buffalo wings and french fries, my father bringing home Publix fried chicken and potato salad (Yummy!), my sister sending us a delicious apple pie, and Stephanie eating ribs for dinner, keeping my diet wasn't easy. Why does it always seem like whenever you go on a diet, everyone wants to buy you dinner or offer you delicious food? Cruel Irony. I think a trick I'll try to use while the challenge is taking place, is to say "Eww" to food that is bad for me. Childish I know, but hey what works, works. All that aside, I'm glad the first day is over. When I can figure out how to put pictures on my computer you'll get to see some sexy pictures of me with my shirt off, So be on the look out! Other than that I'm pretty exhausted, proud I did Day 1, and looking forward to the rest of the 89 days and what they have to bring. Stay Classy, God Bless.
